This category is for initiatives that are doing any of the following:

  • Helping people to learn new skills or knowledge using the internet
  • Using the internet to provide access to education or information
  • Producing websites or tools that help to empower people online
  • Improving skills to help users make the most of the internet

Making the internet a safer place in association with The Home Office led Cyber Streetwise campaign

This category is for initiatives that are doing any of the following:

  • Combating criminal activity online
  • Improving online trust
  • Championing online safety
  • Developing security and safety tools online
  • Providing safe data storage

Doing good online in association with NCVO

This category is for initiatives that are doing any of the following:

  • Promoting charity fundraising online
  • Using the internet to support volunteering or helping others
  • Raising awareness of good causes online
  • Online charitable initiatives and campaigns

Digital innovation in public services in association with techUK

This category is for initiatives that are doing any of the following:

  • Saving public money through innovative use of the internet
  • Using the internet to support communities
  • Promoting digital democracy and political engagement
  • Using the internet to improve access to public bodies and information
